Oscar winner charged after fatal crash
Roger Avary, the Oscar-winning co-writer of 'Pulp Fiction', has been charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence after a fatal railroad car crash northwestern United States of Los Angeles.
Reuters reports that the go down occurred in the city of Ojai, 80 miles (130 km) northwest of Los Angeles, at around 1am on William Ashley Sunday.
Thirty-four-year-old Andreas Zedini, a passenger in Avary's car, died of his injuries at a local hospital, Police chief Monica McGrath of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department said.
Avary's 40-year-old married woman, Gretchen, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Captain McGrath said Avary was released from slammer after mailing $50,000 bail.
